LIST PRODUCTION MANAGER

The Public Interest Network is looking for a List Production Manager to join our team. The Public Interest Network is a group of organizations, including Environment America and PIRG, committed to a cutting-edge vision of a better world, a set of core values, and a strategic approach to change. We work on issues, such as the environment and consumer protection, that highlight the need for a reassessment of our economic values and a new politics. As the List Production Manager, you’ll produce 10,000 lists a year to cultivate and activate our members and supporters.
As a network of groups working to win on some of the most important issues of our time, it’s critical that we keep track of the people who support us. The Lists Department is the driving force behind that effort for the Public Interest Network. We ensure that supporter information is as up to date and accurate as possible. We provide easy access to our groups and departments so they can use that data to build power. We generate reporting and insights to drive improvements in our overall work with members.
If we do everything right, no one notices us. If we make any mistakes, everyone notices us. We take great pride in getting things done right and quickly.
The List Production Manager is responsible for several key functions:
Use a combination of SQL and Python to produce, format and send 10,000 lists a year to cultivate and activate our members and supporters.
Maintain SQL and Python code so that it is up to date, clean, and consistent. Problem solve and fix script errors or resolve network computer issues as needed.
Manage the overall care of our network server, including creating new network user accounts and configuring to efficiently implement our organizational security policies.
Ensure that we are in full compliance with PCI regulations and stay up to date on the latest tech news such as new viruses or vulnerabilities.
Qualifications: Candidates should be administratively-minded, smart, and highly detail oriented. Candidates must have excellent judgment and discretion and the ability to oversee significant projects. Since the Lists Department positions work so closely together, you must also be a team player and willing to fill gaps as needed.
Relevant administrative service experience, preferably in an activist, nonprofit or political organization and programming in SQL, Excel or Access a plus but not a requirement. An ideal candidate has at least three to five years of professional experience.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting annual compensation range for this position is $35,000-$40,000 and depends on relevant experience and education. The Public Interest Network offers an excellent benefits package.
