Recruitment Administrator, The Public Interest Network

 

The Public Interest Network operates and supports organizations committed to a shared vision of a better world and a strategic approach to social change. We are seeking a top-notch administrator to run the operations of our network’s Recruitment Team. 

 

At The Public Interest Network, we tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our country today, such as: delivering clean air, clean water and a livable climate to the next generation; transforming our energy and transportation systems for the 21st century; growing food in ways that leave both people and the planet healthier; and responding to the worst public health crisis in a century. 

 

Each organization in our network pursues its own mission and strategy and we take on issues that affect us all. Take climate change, which is just one issue some of our groups work on. Environment America has won commitments from 7 states to get all their electricity from zero-carbon sources. U.S. PIRG has worked in dozens of states and cities for better public transportation that runs on electricity, not diesel. Green Century Capital Management has led the charge for fossil fuel-free investing. 

 

Our Recruitment Team Administrator plays an important role in maintaining and improving our recruitment systems, helping coordinate recruitment operations, and managing department communications in order to help our network recruit talented staff who will be critical to the success of our groups’ work. 

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

Maintaining and improving our recruitment systems:

 

  • Managing our recruitment database 

 

  • Ensuring the accuracy of the data in our database

 

  • Identifying areas to improve efficiency of our database and recruitment processes

 

Managing necessary department operations to keep things running smoothly:

 

  • Reporting on key departmental metrics

 

  • Managing our department’s budget and contracts with external vendors 

 

  • Coordinating important department events or trainings 

 

Communicating with internal and external stakeholders:

 

  • Answering inquiries from candidates or potential leads

 

  • Fielding questions from external stakeholders or interested parties

 

  • Training recruitment team and network staff how to effectively use our systems

 

  • Helping staff troubleshoot technical issues promptly

 

Completing other department projects to help us meet our objectives:

 

  • Proposing and implementing updates or projects to improve our operations

 

  • Training staff, creating recruitment materials, and participating in recruitment work as necessary

 

Qualifications:


Qualified applicants need to be goal-driven, detail-oriented and highly organized, with a friendly and professional demeanor and the maturity to manage confidential and/or sensitive information. They should be driven by the idea of building a non-profit organization and have an outstanding work ethic. Experience with database development and data analysis is preferred. Successful applicants must be able to oversee significant projects and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.

 

Pay & Benefits:

 

The compensation range for this position is $30,000-$36,000 and depends on relevant experience, education, and location. The Public Interest Network offers an excellent benefits package.
