Fund for the Public InterestFund for the Public Interest is a national nonprofit organization working to increase the visibility, membership and political power of the nation’s leading environmental and progressive groups. Through their fundraising and non-fundraising canvasses, they've gathered over 20 million petition signatures over the past 25 years and raised over $20 million for our partner organizations in the last year alone. Over the years they've developed the nation's largest and most effective network for door-to-door and street canvassing—signing up members in high traffic, public places. Currently they run over 30 canvass offices across the country year-round and even more during the summer time. "Work for Progress has been most helpful when we've needed to fill a position quickly. Work for Progress consistently turns up quality candidates on tight time lines, connecting us with candidates that have already been vetted through their interview process," said Ed Johnson, Director of the Fund for the Public Interest. Work for Progress is able to fill the Fund's positions quickly by running multiple recruitment campaigns at once -- this builds a large, diverse candidate pool. Candidates are first considered for the position to which they applied, but if that's not a perfect match, we then consider them for all the organizations we are recruiting for. Having candidates already in the pipeline reduces the time it takes to fill newly open positions. |
